Renault trucks have been operating in Ireland for over 20 years.

Our challenge:

The current infrastructure consisted of multiple replicated exchange servers, hosting multiple domains with 250+ mailboxes. The issue they were faced with was that the older exchange servers within the cluster were failing and effecting the uptime and availability of mail for the organisation.

Our work:

The current infrastructure consisted of multiple replicated exchange servers, hosting multiple domains with Renault’s migration to the Microsoft hosted solution was a very smooth and straightforward with absolutely minimum impact on our client.

• • During the e-mail migration we moved all active user mailbox in one day.
• • We staged the transition to hosted Exchange environment, designing processes and systems with end-users in mind.
• • To ensure 100 percent delivery of messages between the old mail system and the new hosted
• Exchange Server mail infrastructure, we implemented and tested an e-mail re-routing architecture that bridged the two systems during the transition period.

In conclusion:

Renault have seen the benefit of cloud services and the ease at which ONIT Solutions migrated all data to hosted exchange and deployed the new mailboxes to each of the users’ desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
